Barcode Generator
Generate standard linear barcodes (Code 128, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 39, ITF-14, Pharmacode) with auto check digit calculation, custom dimensions, and vector SVG/PNG export.
Barcode Content & Dimensions
Standard GS1 modulo-10 check digits are automatically calculated if omitted.
Live Barcode Preview
All symbology mathematical calculations and vector geometries run in browser memory. Your internal SKUs never touch a cloud server.
Auto-calculates the correct check digit for retail barcodes to prevent scanner rejections and checkout errors.
Export scalable vector SVGs suitable for commercial thermal label printers, product packaging, and packaging prepress.
Barcode Printing Best Practices
High Contrast Printing
Maintain maximum contrast (black bars on white background) to ensure 100% first-pass laser scanner read rates.
Quiet Zone Margins
Always preserve the blank margins (quiet zones) on both the left and right sides of the barcode so scanners recognize the start character.
Auto Check Digit Calculation
If you enter 12 digits for EAN-13 or 11 digits for UPC-A, our engine automatically computes and attaches the verified modulo-10 checksum digit.
Vector SVG Scaling
Download as SVG when preparing product packaging or adhesive label sheets to guarantee zero pixelation at any print resolution.
How it works?
Select Barcode Symbology
Choose from Code 128 (universal), EAN-13 (global retail), UPC-A (US retail), Code 39, ITF-14, or Pharmacode.
Enter Payload & Customize
Type your product SKU or tracking ID with instant check digit calculation and customizable width, height, and colors.
Download Print-Ready SVG or PNG
Export high-resolution vector SVG for sharp commercial printing or raster PNG for web and digital labels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the barcodes generated with this tool valid for retail stores?
Yes. Barcodes generated using EAN-13 (worldwide retail) and UPC-A (North American retail) strictly adhere to GS1 specifications, complete with accurate modulo-10 check digit algorithms.
What is the difference between Code 128 and Code 39?
Code 128 is a higher-density symbology that supports the entire 128 ASCII character set and produces much more compact barcodes. Code 39 is an older, simpler symbology commonly used in legacy automotive and Department of Defense applications.
Is it better to download barcodes as SVG or PNG?
For physical commercial packaging and printing on adhesive thermal labels, SVG is vastly superior because it is a vector format that scales infinitely with razor-sharp edges at any DPI. For digital documents or websites, PNG is convenient and universally supported.
Does this generator send my product codes or SKUs to a remote server?
No. All barcode calculations and vector rendering are executed 100% locally in your web browser. Nothing is ever logged, stored, or transmitted to any cloud backend.
